My Christmas post had a picture of my little brother Chambers in a neck brace. Well, he tore a vertebrae in his neck and he was in the brace to see if it could heal on its own. Unfortunately it didn't and this week he had to have surgery. He has about a 4 inch incision down his hairline and the back of his neck. The doctor had to go in and put a cadaver bone with a couple screws to help hold his head in place. The surgery went great and Chambers was so brave and such a trooper. I never once noticed him nervous or scared the few days before. We are hoping for a quick recovery. I'm so glad to have the Priesthood, fasting and prayer in our lives. We love you Chambs!

Crazy about this guy

Liam took his first "big boy bath" this week. Even though he looks terrified he LOVED it. He kept splashing the water with his hands. He wouldn't put his feet in the water he held them up the whole time. Look at those rolls, yum!

The last week Liam has become such a cuddly guy. He loves laying his head on my chest. When I go into his room in the morning to get him he smiles a big grin then tries to suck on my cheek (I think its kisses).

Liam loves to watch Josh play basketball, he is mesmerized.

He loves his play mat, he wears himself out from kicking and laughing so most of the time this is where he naps.

Things to remember

The first few weeks we had Liam he would immediately calm down as soon as we played the song "it will rain" by bruno mars.

We let Liam sleep in our bed twice when he was new and ever since I wake up every night in a panic shaking Josh telling him he is laying on the baby. It takes Josh a few minutes to make me realize the baby is safe in his crib. Maybe one day it will go away.

Liam loves sticking his hand down my shirt while i'm cuddling him for a nap.

Liam punched himself when he was vigorously trying to suck on his hand and split his lip.

Liam has red rashes on both of his pointer fingers from sucking them raw.

Liam loves to raise his eyebrows and crinkle his forhead.

His favorite noise right now is when I pretend i'm choking (I don't remember why I even started doing that).

3 months

Can you believe it? Liam is growing up so fast. This week Liam hit his 3 months mark. Liam is very giggly and dramatic lately. He likes to raise his eyebrows and crinkle his forehead a lot. He does a ton of gooing and gaaing. His hair is growing out of control...or what I decided to call the skunk/hawk/euro/mullet. He loves anything he can grab onto which are mostly right now my hands, my hair, his hair, and mr. horse. Oh yes, we refer to everything as mr. now. Mr. horse, Mr. elephant, Mr. monkey, and of course Mr. Liam. He loves when I sing super cheesy songs to him. He loves staring at the pages when I read to him. He giggled when he watched me working out this week, which was probably quite a sight. We are starting his routine now and he loves getting a bath before bed time. He is such a great sleeper! He has only slept through the night twice but usually only wakes up once for a bottle, then back to sleep. Liam rolled for us for the first time January 1st! It was so rewarding to watch all my hard work from tummy time pay off! He can only roll front to back right now. I put him in his bumbo and the baby bjorn this week, he just kinda looked around trying to figure out what contraption we had him in this time. We love our little liam baby!
