35 weeks

Here is our baby boy at 32 weeks.  We got to see his cute little profile
and he was opening and closing his mouth, it was so crazy to see.
I can't believe it's already almost September!
At my recent check-up my Dr. told me "well if you start going into labor i'm not stopping you" which is unlikely but still a possibility.  Everyday I think to myself this could be the last day I sleep in, or this could be my last shower before i'm a mom, or this could be our last time eating out as just Josh and Chelsy.  Which i'm sure is just going to make it go by slower.  We have the nursery almost all the way done and we have been shopping for baby stuff to pass the time.  We went to babies r us last night and looked at all the different kinds of binkies for at least 15 minutes.  Josh doesn't squeal at all the little baby things like I do, he just casually puts things he likes in the cart and says i'm buying this.  It's so cute!  I'm starting to compile my hospital bag, and attempting
to get as much sleep as possible.  A lady at church the other day told me don't be to anxious, they are easier to carry in there then out here.  Oh boy.
We can't wait to meet this little guy!! Who knows maybe next time I post it will be pictures of him....haha ya right.

here is the cheesy belly pic at 34 weeks

Our anniversary

Last week we celebrated our 3rd year of marriage!!
I can't believe it has already been 3 years, time sure does fly.
We had a pretty low key day that consisted of a doctors appointment,
Cinegrill, and a couples massage.
It was so nice and relaxing, and just what I needed!
I have to brag about Josh.

Josh has been at every single doctor appointment with me.  Even on his busiest days he manages to meet me there for ten minutes.  He has been such a great support system through my whole pregnancy.

He (and my cute dad) coached the Redsox and they won the Championship
undefeated!

It was so cute to see all the boys call him "coach" and how well he trained them and all of his patience with the boys.  He put in a lot of hours for the team and turned to me after it was all over and said "just think next year my son can sit in the dugout with me."

Josh has some funny habits that only I see.  Everyday he comes home, and empties his pockets into his money jar.  Every few months he counts it up, takes it to the bank and cashs it in.  He gets giddy over how much money in change he collects.  And every now and then I can tell he has just gone to the bank because my money tray in my car is empty.

Josh has been subtly preparing for "fatherhood."  One night out of no where he asked me if it was weird I was going to be a mom, I said ya and asked him if it was weird he is going to be a dad and he was quick to respond YES!  He is such an easy going guy and is very good at not stressing out or overreacting (unlike me) but I can tell he has processed this in his mind a lot lately and I can't wait to see how he bonds with the baby.

Every time we buy something new for the nursery or get gifts from showers he loves putting everything into its place.  He couldn't wait to set up the stroller and practice folding, unfolding, lifting the car seat, and adjusting the straps.  He loves looking at all the little outfits, trying to decided which one he thinks we should bring to the hospital.  While we were shopping at babies r us he asked me if he could pick something out for the baby.  He picked out a plain blue striped pj set.  At first I thought he was kidding, but he was so proud of what he had picked out.  Every time we go to the grocery store he looks at diapers and binkies.  It is so cute.

He has been amazing at all of my emotional ups and downs, and has catered to my every need.  He calls me during the day to see how i'm feeling.  On the rare occasion I'm not doing to good he focuses his whole attention to me and what is going on (even though he probably carries more stress on his shoulders than I can wrap my head around.)  He works so hard and works long labor filled days, but when he gets home he always makes sure to spend time with me.  I know that as soon as he gets in the shower when he gets home he will call my name and say come talk to me.  He loves talking about what happened that day.

I have never felt like marrying Josh was a mistake, but sometimes I have moments that remind me how lucky I am to have him as my husband.  Recently I was on my way home from work and I was stopped at a stop light trying to turn.  I looked over and there was Josh, at a windshield repair shop walking out to his car.  He had no idea I was watching him (and at first I felt like such a creeper) but I just watched him thinking, wow that is my husband.  What a catch.  I truly feel like we were meant for each other.

Love you Joshy!!

11 weeks to go!!

29 weeks already!!  Holy crap time is flying by!  Sorry for the lame
bathroom pic (I keep asking josh to take it but he said he makes fun of girls who post belly pictures.)  People keep asking me if i'm getting excited.  I usually
say YES but this week it turned into ya...but kinda nervous.  It's becoming a reality.  Many of you who know me know i'm paranoid and I over analyze everything...here are some questions i've thrown at Josh this week...

What if he comes out a girl...
What if he comes out a midget...
What if he doesn't like his name...
What color is his hair going to be...
Are you going to watch...
Do you know how to change a diaper...
Is hendrix going to be weird...
Are we going to be good parents?
What if I have him early and i'm scheduled to work...
What if I have him late and I have to take more time off and
risk losing clients...
How much time are you taking off...
What are we going to tell our families our expectations are...

Josh doesn't comment on most of these, he just rolls his eyes.  Luckily I have such a calm husband or we would never sleep.

We have had a fun summer, trying to go out and do things as much as possible.
We went to Movie under the stars at the capitol, Lots of weddings, fireworks,
swimming, walks with hendrix, bowling, five crowns, dinner with friends and family, and LOTS of golf for Josh.  Here's to the next 11 weeks!

Oh and check out this little coat I found.  It's 12 months, he might not even wear it, but how cute is that!!!!  GO UTES!!!

27ish weeks

I had to check my pregnancy tracker before posting how many weeks I am.
 Oh boy.  Where to begin.
It's HOT.
I haven't had many cravings, but I do go back and forth between salty and sweet almost as often as I blink.

My back is killing me, I can't get comfortable at night.  Even my trusty pregnancy pillow isn't working...suggestions?

I had my glucose test, the drink is not so bad it's how it makes you feel.

There are no cute affordable maternity clothes.  Seriously why would I wear a shirt with "Bumpalicious" in sequins on the front.  Try again.

Everything gives me heartburn.

I went swimming and kept tipping forward, it was quite a site.

My feet aren't swollen yet (thank goodness)  but they are oddly radiating heat.

Everything looks great, my doctor says my weight is a little low so if I don't
start gaining faster I will have to try to gain weight (Josh rolls his eyes and says "I wish someone would give me permission to gain weight").
Speaking of Josh, aren't husbands supposed to gain weight with you?  Josh has lost 17 pounds!!  Way to go Joshy!

Time is flying by, I am now meeting with my Dr. every 2 weeks.
We set up the crib and now it's not just the 2nd bedroom, it's the nursery.  It smells like new stuff.  I walked in one morning about to go to work and I almost cried thinking in a couple months I will have a baby in here.

My little boy is kicking, hard!  I love it!  We went to a wedding and the band
was really loud and I swear he was dancing in there, he is so responsive to sounds.  Poor Josh hasn't felt it yet because every time he is kicking hard I say hurry feel this and the baby goes to sleep.  I keep telling Josh he has the ability to calm him down which will come in handy.

Hendrix and I had a long talk the other day about his new brother (don't worry Josh already claimed me insane).  I don't think Hendrix is very happy that he has been relocated, he keeps sneaking into the nursery and sniffing the crib. But I know he will be so great with him.  He has started laying his head on my tummy and he never used to.  Josh says it's just a coincidence but I'm convinced he can hear the heart beat and is already protective of him.

The most recent belly pic I have is from 25 weeks because I've been having
a huge case of the uglies lately...

Ok I need advice....What are your experiences/opinions on pregnancy pictures?
Lame or worth it?

And what is your favorite way to get exercise during pregnancy?

My new obsession...

Remember my ruffle bum cover if I was having a
girl...well I have forgotten all about it because of this...

I have been so stressed about how I'm going
to decorate the nursery (let's face it girl stuff is SOOO
much cuter).

I have an old antique dresser in the nursery that we will use for the baby
and it is my favorite piece.  I started brain storming what would
go along good with that.  Maybe I'm crazy but I'm obsessed with sock monkeys!
I found the cutest bedding, fabric, and decor online.

Then I ran across this little guy.  Then I ran across
birthday party ideas, yep I'm already thinking about his first birthday.

I could just die at how cute all the little sock monkey things are.
I can't wait to put together his nursery!!!!

21 weeks

Here I am, 21 weeks and 5 days.  My jeans are getting snug at the belly
and I'm starting to look like its not just a food baby.

Best remedy for heartburn?  Yep I got it.
Dottera Lemon oil. Rub it on your chest and heartburn instantly goes away.

Names?  Not decided, we are still debating.

We went to the doctor and she was trying to find the heartbeat, every time
she found it he moved.  She said it is one of the wiggliest babies she's seen.

He got the hiccups the other night, it was so weird and first I thought it
was muscle spasms but after feeling the rhythm I recognized it.

About a year ago I found these shoes at target and HAD to buy them!
If you know Josh, you know these are the only kinds of shoes he
will wear.  So excited to use them!

Some of our family has given us little blue outfits and socks and hats
and I looked at them the other day going oh my gosh, my baby is going to be
wearing these in a few months.

And we bought a crib!!!

It's a BOY!!

Yesterday I got the best birthday present ever!!  I got to watch my little baby squirm around!!  About an hour before it hit me that we would be finding out what we were having and I got super nervous and the butterflies (plus I had to have a full bladder).  After waiting way to long go into the ultrasound (Josh fell asleep in the waiting room, I had to explain to him that doctors are just like hairstylists...if you want them to be on time you don't schedule at the end of the day,) we finally got to go to the ultrasound room.

Josh of course wanted a BOY and at first I really wanted a GIRL but I realized as long as it is healthy I'm happy!!  Our tech was so sweet, the first pic she showed us our baby was covering his ears, Josh told her he is getting used to covering his ears since I swear all the time. (ha,ha...not true)

I was so overwhelmed with happiness just watching "it" move like crazy.  I told her wow "it" is moving so much...she said yes SHE is!!  Oh my goodness it's a girl?  I turned to Josh are you sad???  It's a girl!!!!!!  YAY!!!!

Then I saw her grab her mouth and say this has never happened before...then I saw this on screen...

I made sure she double checked.  She felt so bad, I wasn't mad I just wanted to make sure it didn't have both parts!!!  I looked over at Josh again and he had the biggest grin on his face!!  "It" is definitely a boy.  We are so excited!!  Now I have no excuses but to get the nursery started!!

Oh and for those who asked...we don't have a name, we only had a girl name.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes and congrats!!!  We are so blessed to have such caring friends and family!
