Just in case the world ends....

Don't you worry, I'm totally joking.  My amazing husband bought me a nook tablet for Christmas! I am still trying to get used to typing on it so excuse my errors.  I haven't kept up on the blogging because our main desktop is in Liam's room and the only quiet time i get is when my busy angel is asleep.  I will have to add pictures to this post later but i keep thinking of things i need to write down before i forget.  I remember reading lots of books that always said how much kids like routine.  Well I'm afraid Liam may have carried on my OCD gene.  Poor Josh.  Every time i am getting bath time ready this is Liam's strict routine.  First he throws the bath soap bottle in, then he tests the water out with his hand, then he shuts the bathroom door, next he stands next to me and puts his arms above his head waiting to be undressed.  I'm not kidding this happens exactly every bath time.  When i am getting things out for dinner Liam follows me to make sure every drawer and cupboard get shut.  Also when we are making his bottles he likes to be the one to open and close the microwave.  Liam is definitely testing his limits and when i tell him no, or let's not play with that he likes to shake his head at me.  Then just like his daddy, gives me kisses to make up for the trouble he has caused.  Something a little disturbing but i feel i should document is when Liam gets mad or we take something away from him.....he hits his head on the nearest object. Sometimes it is his crib, or the floor, or my head.  I have read a lot about it and it is common in boys, especially this age since he cant verbalize his feelings.  Last week he had bruises all over his left arm and hand from hitting it with his mouth.  We are working hard to teach Liam words.  Right now he says dada, mama, yes, dog, and a whole lot of gibberish.  On Mondays when my mom watches him i will say "do you want to go to grandmas"? and Liam grabs his blanket and literally sits by the front door waiting to leave.  Liam is soo busy and such a boy.  He doesn't sit still long enough to cuddle but boy can he give some amazing kisses!!!  He also loves to tickle peoples feet, scare people, and he has a new thing where he sits down and starts leaning back slowly til he lays down, then laughs and laughs and does it again.  The last few weeks he has started to love books a lot.  He likes to flip through the pages and talk like he is reading.  We are at a stage that is the busiest and most challenging so far but we love being parents.

My "baby"

This is a more for me post but if you want to listen to whats going on inside my head read on.  I feel like I should do a post that is not all pictures and party's.  I just love Liam so much and I love going back to the first post after I had him and read through how I was feeling at the time.  Josh had a Birthday the day before Liam's (October 5th) he turned the big 28.  We got a babysitter that night and went out on a date.  On our way home I couldn't help reminiscing our first date, our wedding, the first time I saw Josh hold Liam and how much love I feel as a family, driving home from the hospital, and now my baby is one!  Josh thinks i am emotional 24-7.....ok guilty, I'm a woman.  I started sobbing (tears of joy) for where my life is.  I am so blessed.  My life could've gone a few different paths, and I am so glad that I chose this one.  I have an amazing husband and a happy healthy beautiful baby boy, along with many other blessings.  Nothing makes me more happy then having my baby walk over to me and give me a kiss, or snuggle in my lap even if he only holds still for 30 seconds.  This past week Liam has been blowing kisses, giving smooches and waving goodbye to dad before bed.  When josh hits his own forehead and say "ah nuts" Liam busts up laughing.  Josh had him laughing so hard last night his eyes were streaming with tears.  Liam is like his dad always fidgeting or making a noise.  He loves to click his tongue, hit things with his hammer, clap his hands, pat his head, and he LOVES to dance.  Wether it's music or just a rythym he is shaking his booty, pumping his chest, or bobbing his head.  When I listen to the radio in the car and the hosts laugh Liam starts laughing with them.  He loves ANY dog.  He carries his blankie with him everywhere.  He climbs on everything.  As soon as he hears the bath water running he screams in excitement, this kid loves the water.  He is very fond of the heat ducts (weird, right?).  I am sure I will think of a billion more things after I post this but for not I am glad that I could document my thoughts.

Happy First Birthday Liam!

Liam baby turned 1 last week!  I can't believe how fast this past year has gone by.  The last few weeks have been filled with a lot of "a year ago today we were..."  I wouldn't change anything about this little guy.  He has been such a good and easy baby.  We love his energetic and very social personality.  Every where we go people are always stopping to talk to Liam and he acts like they are his best friend.  He is walking around with ease and having many animated conversations in a language we can't understand.  The last few weeks we have been singing "Happy Birthday" to him and he lights up and dances.  He LOVES dancing and is always bopping up and down to any sort of noise or rhythm.  We had a very enjoyable birthday party with family and friends and Liam was so spoiled!  It was a "mini" party with mini decorations, mini party hats, mini desserts, and mini invitations.  We did a cake smash but Liam couldn't quite figure out what to do (distracted from loving the attention with everyone watching to see what he would do.)  He poked at the cake a little, rubbed some frosting on his face, rubbed his face on the cake, and then sat there like....OK I'm done.  I can't wait to see more and more of how this little guy is going to grow up....but not to fast!  We love you not so "baby" Liam!

10 Months

Not going to lie I'm at a point where everything I do I think "I can't believe I have a son this old?"  I know he isn't old but he is just growing to fast that I'm in shock at how quick he is catching onto things.  It makes me scared to think we want our kids close together and we have to start talking about when we want another!  (WHAT?!)  Anyways....Liam is my world.  Even on the worst days this guy lifts my mood instantly.  When he is awake and ready to get out in the morning he lets out a quick and happy "ah.....ah.....ah....ah" and since he still hasn't said "mama" I'm starting to think my name is either yaya or ah.  If he wants to be picked up he will cling to my shirt and give me a look like "i'm not letting go, might as well pick me up".  He has 3 teeth on top and 4 on the bottom.  He is the quickest crawler and of course from the most recent post you will see that he just took his first steps.  He loves teasing Josh and I and loves when we say "I'm gonna get you" and he laugh/screams while wildly crawling away.  He is very into balls right now.....baseballs and basketballs and bouncy balls.  And throws them across the room then chases after them.  He has also taken an interest in the wall (Sorry Annie, Cody, Craig, and Lane).  He loves banging his head, hand, or whatever toy is in his hand against it.  If there is music playing he is shaking his hand and arms like crazy (Josh says he got Uncle Chambers rythm).  Oh and since the last time I blogged I went insane and bought an over sized teddy bear that basically completes the life of Liam, Josh, and Hendrix.  All of them have napped on it.  On to the pics....in no order at all...

Pawn Stars.... Vegas

We sent a picture to Josh that said "can we keep him?"
