Halloween 2014

Halloween 2014 was so much fun.

We loved having warm weather and we did a lot of fun activities.

Back in August I bought Liam a fireman costume and immediately the wheels were turning about what colt could be.  I had this idea for a Dalmatian but I couldn't find one to buy.  So my mom tracked down some white clothes and I turned them into what I think turned out to be a pretty stinking cute costume and it was so comfortable for Colt to wear.

A couple week before Halloween people would ask Liam what he was going to be he didn't hesitate to tell them "I'm going to be a witch!"  Not wanting to be a mean and controlling mom I sought out to make a boy with costume.  For our ward party he dressed up like a fireman but for school I put together a boyish with costume.  He was so excited and I patted myself on the back for listening to what he wanted to be instead of forcing him to but what I wanted him to be.  When we pulled up at school he saw his friend, Ben, walking inside wearing....a fireman costume.  He ripped the with hat off and said "MOM!  I wanted to be a fireman!!"  I told him too bad so sad you'll have to be a witch.  He begged me to drive home to get the fireman costume and I kissed him goodbye.  As I walked out of his class I looked back and saw him pouting with his arms folded.   Grrrr.
On actual Halloween for trick or treating I gave him the option of costumes and he chose....fireman.  I guess next year he will have to commit to one cause I am not playing that game again.

Colt turns 1

I feel like a broken record but seriously, where did the last year go?  I remember wishing for this day since Colt was such a hard baby and now that it is here it's so sad and so happy!

Colt is such a unique little guy.  My boys could not be more different.

Loves:
Food
(anything and everything)
being held
waving hi and bye
throwing balls
clapping his hands
cuddling
taking baths
blowing whistles or anything that makes noise
His binkie and blankets
 hammering
watching out of the window
and trying to grab peoples tongues
animals (especially dogs)
playing in the toilet (this has got to stop)

Hates:
Getting out of the tub
wearing shoes and socks
getting his hair combed
when I go to work
broccoli

He really is such an easy going kid.  He sleeps great and Is always happy running errands with me.

Colt is not quite walking yet but he has taken a few steps here and there.  I think it will be any day now, heaven help me.

When Colt woke up on his birthday morning Liam greeted him by singing happy birthday and Colt was so excited he was standing in his crib clapping his hands with a smile plastered ear to ear.  It was adorable how much he soaked in the extra attention.

After we dropped Liam off at school we rand some errands and went to breakfast with grandma Jennifer.

Colt took a long nap and when he woke up we played and laughed and tried to give him lots of special attention for his day.  That night we had both sets of grandparents, chambers, Lisa, and Spencer over for Chinese food and cake and ice cream.  Colt loved all of his gifts, and Liam loved them even more.

Colt proved to me that we are no where near ready for a 3rd child in this moment
