Say hello to my little friend

Every morning I walk into Liam's room to get him I find him like this.  Keeping watch for someone to come get him.  He never cries in his crib, just talks gibberish to himself.  I put my face up to the slats and he gives he a big wet one.  Love this little guy.

1/2 Birthday

I know I say this every month but time is seriously flying by.  We are so crazy about this little man words can't even describe it.  Here is a few things about Liam at 6 months:

Hate Bananas.

Favorite Game is peek a boo, only if he is the hider.

Looks just like his daddy but is starting to get comments about looking like mom (must be the chubby cheeks).

Is enthralled by the vacuum.

Lays in the bath with his hands above his head and LOVES bath time.

Every morning I know when he is awake because I can hear a clanking noise.  Liam likes to hit his binkie against the wood of the crib.  When I walk in to get him he pokes his head up really high to greet me.

Is not shy.  At.All.  Any one who makes eye contact with him will for sure be greeted by a squeal and a big dimply smile.

I let Liam nap with a blanket and he loves pulling it around his face.

Loves his daddy and wants to play with him always.  Most times when I try to get attention Liam pretends he is ignoring me and looks behind me then laughs because he knows what he is doing.

Loves his puppy so much and is not at all afraid of dogs.

Random flash back

I was looking through a box of my stuff that I have kept over the years today.  It has a ton of memories in it, good and bad.  Obituaries from friends and family.  The newspaper from 9-11.  Year books.  TONS of pictures, most from Jr high trying on clothes at cottonwood mall, and letters from my parents and friends.  I was looking for a certain thing I knew was in there.  "To my kids".  In young women's when I was 14 we wrote letters to our future kids.  I have a yw activity to plan and thought it would be fun to show the girls my letter and have them write their own.  Well I dug it out and opened it today.  Oh boy.  My letter will be a perfect example of what not to write.  I must have been on a sugar high.  "I don't have a boyfriend, how depressing is that?" and "they want me to write a letter so what do you want to know about me?"  "I go to Oly Jr. and my name in Chelsy Marie Brown."  I wish I would have written down my testimony, my advice, and things I was interested in back then.  I will save this letter, but I will also write a new one.  Among other random things I found letters and pictures from and of ex boyfriends.  I'm sure I found it necessary to save those at the time but I'm sure my kids don't want to be going through letters of boys telling me we will be together FOREVER when It only lasted a few months.  Needless to say I did a lot of shredding today.  I also came across a list of "My Life Goals" I had written down probably when I was 13. 1-Get Married in the temple, 2-Get a 3.5 GPA, 3-Loose 20 lbs. (I would love to be the weight I was when I wrote that), 4-Kiss in the rain.  Some of the things I found were so silly and make me shake my head at what I was thinking but I am glad I kept most of the things to look back on and remember how I got where I am today and how happy I am where I ended up.

RSV

Yep, it happened.  I have been such a paranoid mom and a freak about sanitation and germs.  Poor Liam is SOO sick.  Yesterday I took him into the doc because he couldn't stop choking and gagging from all the mucus.  They has to stick tubes down his nostrils into his throat to try and suck out mucus, it was so sad.  He screamed his head off and the nurse holding him down might be bruised from Liam's violent kicking.  Then they had to do a nuebulizer.  The nurse said don't worry they usually calm down after a couple minutes.  Nope, Liam cried hysterically for 10 minutes.  It still is really bad and hopefully this is the worst of it, my poor babe.  He has loved sleeping in mom and dads bed though.  He always has to have one arm touching Josh's arm and the other touching my face.  We can't wait for warm summer weather!

No idea what is about to happen
