Gotta send my love down to Baton Rouge...

We were able to go to Louisiana for a week to visit the Hash's.
We had the time of our ives!  We can't wait to go back!

Flying there was a little rough, Liam was not happy about having to sit still on our laps.  After about an hour of screaming he screamed himself to sleep in my arms.

We took a tiny plane from Houston to Lafayette and Liam loved that short 30 minute flight!

On our Second day in Baton Rouge we went to church then to the LSU campus to see "mike the tiger" their mascot, and went to the park!  The weather the whole time we were there was perfect!

Seconds before a couple collisions

Of course Liam spotted out the Dogs and couldn't get enough of them

Liam loves playing football with Uncle Matt

On our third day in LA we went to New Orleans, it was quite an adventure, we got to see so many cool streets and sites.  One of my favorite places was a huge cemetery.  Since flooding is so often in LA no one can be burried underground (and most of the homes are lifted on cinderblocks).  The cemetery we visited had little concrete buildings like the one I'm standing in front of here.  Most of them could hold 6 tombs.  Some of them have doors so the families can access the building to visit and leave flowers.  The second picture is looking inside of this one.  Of one of the tombs it was inscribed "Never to be opened".  I don't know why but I LOVE things like this.  I was in heaven...

We ate at a yummy po-boy shop on magazine street called Mahoney's.  These are the most deadliest, skinniest, yummiest onion rings.  We also ate some delicious fried shrimp po-boys.

At first we didn't understand why the boys were so persistant on taking our picture by this sign...until it was their turn.

 Jackson Square

 Beignets at Cafe Du Monde...AMAZING

Day four we went to the state capital and got to see a lot of Louisiana history.  We called it the mini empire state building because we got to ride an elevator to the tippy top and look down over Baton Rouge.

For some weird reason every time Liam was in his stroller
he held his left leg up.

Day Five

We went to Oak Alley Plantation.  It was so beautiful!

Uncle Matt took one for the team and played with "Billy" outside while we took a tour.  Liam loves his goofy Unlce Matt so much!

We ate at the Fat Cow for lunch.  It was sooo good.  We ate french fries fried in duck fat with fresh parmesean cheese on top.  Seriously...deadly.

Throwing pennies in the pond with Aunty Avery.  These two are in LOVE.

Day Six was one for the records.  We really wanted to take Liam to a baby alligator farm.  Ave found one and called to see if they were open.  Their hours said they were but we couldn't get a hold of anyone but took our chances.  After a 2 hour drive ,to the middle of what could have been the scariest horror movie ever made, was a big alligator farm, but it was closed.  Frustrated we decided to get lunch at Raising canes...We joked that we had to make the drive just for fried chicken, even though there was one two minutes away from Ave's house.

Later that day we went to a swamp and saw baby alligators, snakes, turtles, owls, and a ton of other creepy crawlies.
