We have a yard!

When we first looked at our house we knew the backyard needed a complete make over.  I was thinking in a few years we would do it, then Josh started getting bids and we were able to do it right away.  At first I was hesitant to spend so much but Josh assured me it would be worth it (and hired them without consulting me) and sure enough he was right.  I am so glad we invested into the backyard.  Here are some before and after pics.

(which by the way only took them 2 hours, it would've taken Josh 10)

July 4th and 24th

I have been a total slacker at blogging, blame it on the busy summer.  Here are some highlights from the 4th followed by the 24th:

On the 3rd Josh and I went to the West Jordan round up with some friends

We decided there is no way graceful way to eat a chocolate covered banana

The morning of the 4th we got the kids ready and went furniture shopping, within five minuted of driving they were asleep

Later that evening we met my parents at Holladay city for fireworks and a concert

My dad asked me to talk a selfie with him. haha.

Liam entertained us by break dancing

Colt was so tired he slept in my arms through the whole firework show!

The morning of the 25th Liam woke us all up at the {crack} of dawn

We went swimming at the Wilcoxs house

Then later that night we ate dinner ate my parents house and did fireworks

And of course Colt fell asleep...

Jackson Hole

At the end of July we went with all of the Johnson clan to Colter Bay.  It is a tradition Josh's family does every year.  I usually dislike this trip mainly because I don't love boating and eating out of a cooler, oh and when you get 25 people together there is always drama.  But this year was so fun!  I think since Liam is finally to an age where he listens to us when we tell him not to touch the fire, or go near the water and that he just had so much fun.  He thought everything was pretty cool, Colt was not so much a fan.

We did so many fun things but my favorite was taking canoes down the river.  Unfortunately I didn't take my phone or camera for fear we would tip and it would turn into an expensive ride.  But Josh rowed in the back while Liam sat up front and I wrestled Colt in the middle.  It was so peaceful and beautiful.  I really can't even tell you why it was my favorite other than I had my husband and boys to myself and we were away from the chaos.

Here is a picture over load and they are all out of order!
